THE ROUTINE

Three steps before the wash

From a small spill while you are out to a local mark before laundry day, check the fabric and its care requirements before choosing portable or prewash care.

   Read the garment label

   Check whether the garment can be washed and any restrictions for delicate fabrics or special finishes.

2. 02

   Care for the local mark

   Gently blot excess residue. Where suitable, test an inconspicuous area and follow the product label.

3. 03

   Check after washing

   Wash according to the care label and check the mark before deciding whether to use heated drying.
